Everything we see and experience in life is processed through our filters. These filters are the result of our life experiences and the environment in which we grew up. These perceptions of how the world is or how people act are a version of reality but not the truth.
If we can remove or filters, we can experience life as it is.
Although it may not be possible to completely remove our filters we can become aware of them and not allow them to control our lives. When we start to get upset at a perceived slight, or think we know the intention of another person, we are creating unnecessary conflict in our lives.
Thinking we know everything or we can control things is a product of our ego. By letting go of that we can see things as they are and react in a more thoughtful way.
When we start to judge or criticize, we can stop and become aware of our judgment, thus allowing us to see what is really happening.
